Aryan Kalwani Review at University Of Alberta [UALBERTA], Edmonton | Collegedunia

Great so far

AK
7.3 /10

Because it is ranked among the top 10 universities in the world for Artificial Intelligence.

Course Curriculum :

The course is pretty good and updated. Most of the courses in the first two years provide a good understanding of the core CS subjects. We have this option to opt for the Science Internship Program which provides us with industrial exposure.

Exams :

For the application, you just have to submit your IELTS score and your 11th score along with the pre-board/predicted class 12th scores. Other things are completely optional and I didn't submit anything else. Don't fret if your class 11th scores are low because once you have >= 90 % in class 12th, class 11th won't matter and you'll most probably get an offer letter.

Placement :

I guess the post-study placement opportunities are decent if you make effort outside of the university to do things, make projects, etc in the field you want to pursue in the future.

Events :

We have almost 400-450 clubs and these clubs are very active if you want to participate.

Fees :

$29,000

Scholarship :

N/A

Faculty :

The faculty is great and very accessible.

Hostel :

I lived on campus for the first year and I would recommend living there for the first year because that way you'll make a lot of friends and get to know a lot of people. Cost is about $10,000 to $17,000.
