Bhaswardeep Sikdar Review at University Of Alberta [UALBERTA], Edmonton | Collegedunia

Amazing learning experience at here.

BS
7.0 /10

This is one of Canada's best universities with a good world ranking and very low tuition and living costs compared to other universities.

Course Curriculum :

The course curriculum is regularly updated and highly relevant. Research experience is inbuilt into the program in the 4th year but opportunities do exist from the 1st year itself.

Exams :

For application, I had to submit my Projected scores, transcripts, and a few LOR. The projected scores gave a conditional acceptance. The final acceptance came after I submitted my 12th board final marks.

Placement :

Currently, I am a 2nd-year student so not much information about this.

Events :

Campus infrastructure is great. There are 200+ clubs and lots of amazing buildings, study spaces, and great research facilities. The campus has 3 libraries (for different faculties), with wifi everywhere. Sports facilities are also great.

Fees :

$25000 CAD per annum

Scholarship :

I got the International Student scholarship for $2000 for 1st year.

Faculty :

The student-faculty ratio is about 1:20. The faculty is very caring and concerned for students. They are always on time for classes and always make sure student's doubts are cleared. Some good profs include Dr. Kirk Kaminsky, Dr. Rodrigo Fernandez, etc.

Hostel :

Yes, my cost in lister was $8770 for 8 months incl food, utilities, wifi, gym, etc. for a double room with shared washrooms. However, this would have increased now so it's best to check the prices in-residence services website.
