The Master of Science (M.Sc) in Computing Science at the University of California is a 2 years program.
It is an on-campus, thesis-based program offered on a full-time basis.
The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences (EECS) offers two graduate programs in Computer Science:
- The Master of Science (MSc)
- The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
The Master of Science (MSc) emphasizes research preparation and experience and, for most students, is a chance to lay the groundwork for pursuing a PhD.
Students may only apply to one single degree program or one concurrent degree program per admission term.
A minimum of 24 units is required to complete by the students.

Graduation	Students must complete a bachelor's degree or the recognized equivalent from an accredited institution. Students hold a satisfactory scholastic average, usually a minimum grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 (B) on a 4.0 scale. Students should have enough undergraduate training to do graduate work in their chosen field. Submission of GRE scores is not compulsory for this program.
TOEFL	TOEFL score must be at least 570 for the paper and pencil test, at least 230 for the computer-based test or at least 90 for the Internet-based test
PTE	Minimum 54 is required for consideration
IELTS	A minimum of 7.0 is required for consideration (tests should not be taken before July 1, 2021)
