All incoming students, regardless of need and background, are awarded a graduate research assistantship (GRA) which includes a tuition waiver and a living stipend of $30,000. The GRA provides a waiver for out-of-state tuition, and a substantial reduction of in-state tuition and fees, resulting in a final cost of approximately $1300 per semester.
The traditional areas of accounting research are financial accounting (how investors react to firms’ reported financial numbers and accounting choices); managerial accounting (how firms create and use financial and non-financial information for internal decision making); auditing (how external auditors oversee the financial reporting process) and taxation (how firms’ accounting choices impact their tax situation). However, accounting research is multi-disciplinary and often examines issues that go beyond the numbers. For example, researchers at Tech. have experimentally examined how the use of vivid language by firms influences investor judgments drawing on research from psychology. Researchers have also examined how social media posts by employees can help predict future firm performance.

Georgia Institute Of Technology offers MS Cyber Security program in offline and online learning modes. International students applying for admission in this program must have an undergraduate degree in the relevant field from a recognized university and have a valid ELP test score. For the On campus program, the application deadline is February 15. While the application deadline for the Online program is February 1 as standard deadline and Marchh 15 as the final deadline.
