Graduate students take engineering, biology, and medical school courses, gain valuable clinical experience at nearby teaching hospitals associated with the Brown Medical School, and engage in stimulating internships at companies commercializing biomedical technologies.
These opportunities, coupled with dissertation research, give graduate students both the intellectual and the practical skills required for developing today's emerging science into useful biomedical technology and therapies.
The MSc program consists of 8-semester courses (8 tuition units).

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, applied math, or computer science or equivalent from a recognized institution.
A GPA of at least 3.0/4.0 is required to be eligible for the program.
Past coursework should generally cover topics in math (e.g., multivariable calculus, differential equations, linear algebra) as well as physics (e.g., statics, electromagnetism, circuits), chemistry (e.g., materials), and/or biology (e.g., cell biology, biochemistry, anatomy/physiology), with flexibility related to the exact courses taken

Indian Student Eligibility:

Students must complete an undergraduate degree with first-class in a relevant field from a highly ranked university in India.
Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
