University of Maine, a public land-grant research University offers admissions in Fall and spring semesters. Students securing a GPA of 3.30 (87-89%) on a 4.0 scale are considered as eligible for any course and for the admission process in the University.

The programs at University of Maine provide an option of over 100 undergraduate and 75 graduate courses to choose from for its students.

University of Maine Application Deadlines

University of Maine has two specific deadlines for all its Undergraduate International Students. For Graduate admissions, the deadline depends on the course chosen by the respective course. The Following are the deadlines for all the international students in the University of Maine:

University of Maine International Student Admission

All International applicants interested in pursuing a course in the University of Maine will have to fill in the application form. The students will also have the option to send in their Application form via email to internationaladm@maine.edu respectively.

  • Complete the application and submit all their desired documents like transcripts of all previous secondary/high school or university, Declaration of Finances, Letters of Recommendation etc.
  • All the International applicants whose Native or First language is not English are required to submit the TOEFL or IELTS or PTE scores as mandatory requirements.
  • Appearing for a Personal Virtual interview is mandatory for all students with their CV and Resume via Video call with the Head of their respectively chosen program.
  • All the International Students who have opted to give the personal interview will then have to wait for at least 1 week to get their interview and admission result.

US Study Visa Process

All International students interested in pursuing their interested course in University of Maine require a student visa for the USA. The students will require an I-20 form and DS-2019 from the University of Maine to obtain F-1 or a J-1 student visa respectively. The next step is to pay the SEVIS I-901 fee.
