Doctor of Philososphy [Ph.D] (Tri-Institutional M.D.-Ph.D. Program)
Field of Study:
Between 12 and 14 students enroll in this highly competitive program every year, and at any one time 25 or so are performing thesis research in Rockefeller University laboratories. Students spend their first two years in medical school, while also completing three research rotations. Following the completion of graduate studies and thesis research at either The Rockefeller University, the Gerstner Sloan-Kettering Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences or Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences, students receive their Ph.D. degrees and then reenter medical school to complete clinical rotations and receive their M.D. degrees.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Applicants must have completed a bachelors degree or masters degree from an accredited university
- Submit official transcripts of all previous education completed
- Applicants must demonstrate high level of proficiency in biological, chemical or mathematical sciences
- Submit statement of purpose about your meaningful research experience, areas of your interest, how your background and experiences will contribute to the program
- Submit three to four letters of recommendation from sponsors who can assess your research potential
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 88 in ibt
- IELTS: minimum 6.5
- Duolingo: minimum 105
- PTE: minimum 60
