UCLA has a number of campus career fairs and industry information events to facilitate networking with top companies in the United States. The college career center hosts a number of educational events and workshops to prepare students for interviews and industry opportunities. The student alumni association organizes a number of alumni networking events. However, the onus is on the students to make use of such events to obtain job referrals and advance their career prospects.

Placement:

My program has exceptional placement opportunities. I don't know of many students who graduated without a job. Most of my batch was/is already interning at FAANG companies in their second year.

Internship:

Interned at Amazon - USD 10,000+ per month and accommodation. Applied online and had 3-4 interviews.

Placement:

The average pay after graduating from UCLA is higher than other universities because of the name of the school. I would say a good percentage of students get jobs right after they graduate, and have appealing offers.

Internship:

My college offers many internships and campus jobs. I have not had one personally, but I do know that the campus jobs pay about $15-20 an hour, depending on which job it is, and the student union is very good. Average working hours are about at least 10-12 hours a week, and they work around your schedule well.

Internship:

Yes, I took an internship course in which I was able to work at a school site with kids. I learned a lot from my professor and the teacher that I worked with. I was able to take the class for up to 3 quarters and get credit.

I opted for this college for its prestige and popularity. It was also in the top 5 of the nation and #1 in the United States. I was also able to apply for free and it was not far from home at the time.

Placement:

I am unable to speak for all disciplines, the general consensus, however, is that UCLA is in the top twenty universities for job placement in the world. This has induced a great influx of Asian students to the Westwood campus.

Internship:

The internship program was in total infancy at my time of matriculation, consequently, I did not have any experience in that area. As the experience and quality of internship have ballooned, I am lacking in thinking of a better method of introduction into the workplace.

Placement:

Very poor. Again, lots of people go to college and we don't have many resources to support them. The college holds job fairs and similar events, but they aren't all that helpful in my experience. I wish they supported us a little more in that area.

Internship:

No internships provided. We need to look for our own through personal time.
