University of Charleston Admission Deadlines

The university offers various programs and admissions to which are conducted on a rolling basis (with the exception of Nursing, Occupational Therapy Assistant, and Radiologic Technology) meaning that an applicant can apply for admission any time beginning from October; this process continues till the capacity for admission is reached.

International applicants are however advised to apply early at least six weeks prior to the beginning of the desired semester to make enough room for visa application which usually takes much time to complete.

If an applicant’s TOEFL score is less than 70, he/she may still be offered admission with a condition that on arrival to campus, he/she must take an English diagnostic exam. Based on his/her scores, the student may be required to enroll in ESL courses.
If a student’s English language proficiency is low, he or she will be required to take the coursework in English as a Second Language (ESL) at the university. If the needed ESL coursework is not available, the student will be referred to an Intensive English Language Program.

US Visa for International Students

International candidates will require an F1 visa to study in the USA when enrolling at the institute. To obtain the visa, applicants will require an I-20 issued by the university after the student is selected for admission and has proved his/her ability to submit the required tuition fee.
