The Biomedical and Health Informatics program is an interdisciplinary program that administers the master of professional science in biomedical and health informatics.
The program combines strengths through a partnership of several top-ranked academic units on the UNC campus.
Its interdisciplinary nature draws faculty and scholars from information and computer science, public health, biostatistics, medicine, nursing, dentistry, and pharmacy.

RTP offers many opportunities for students to gain hands-on experiences in innovative analytics, machine learning, and software development projects.

- Development and evaluation of health information systems that impact clinical decision making and health care quality

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical and Health Informatics or equivalent from a recognized institution.
A GPA of at least 3.0/4.0 is required to be eligible for the program.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Students must complete an undergraduate degree with first-class in a relevant field from a highly ranked university in India.
Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
