Courtney Review at Temple University, Philadelphia | Collegedunia

Temple U!

C
9.5 /10

I picked Temple University because it is in the city of Philadelphia. This city is amazing for health care professionals and Temple University provides the best education for students. It is also filled with diversity and networking opportunities.

Course Curriculum :

I think my course curriculum provides the most experience for students. We are required to complete to internships, and both are planned into our academic plan. This is something most other universities do not do.

Exams :

I took the SAT to get into Temple University. You are also able to take your ACT if you wish. But all is dependent upon your choice.

Placement :

There are many job opportunities for our program. Our program directors send us emails every day about job opportunities for when we graduate, as well as part-time opportunities for students. We also have career fairs to meet other people in our field and form connections.

Internship :

My college has two mandatory internships. Your first is completed junior year. Your junior internship is 150 hours long and counts as 3 credits. It is a few days a week and really prepares you for your senior internship. Your senior internship is 600 hours and is 12 credits. This is mandatory for all Recreation Therapy students. I am completing my senior internship this summer. There is no pay/stipend for either internship.

Events :

We have so many events at Temple. We have many events for homecoming, different clubs, and organizations. We hold 'grad fest' for graduate students to celebrate on campus. There really is something going on on campus mostly every day.

Fees :

Tuition is based on whether you are in state or out of state. You are also responsible for your textbooks and other materials that are pretty costly. As well as an option meal plan. But it is the same fees and necessary items as any other university.

Scholarship :

I do not have any scholarships personally but there are so many offered by Temple University! I do not have financial aid, but you can receive loans when you fill out your FASFA information.

Examination Structure :

Exams at Temple University are not easy. Most classes have about three exams and then one final exam or project. Considering our professors are the best of the best, they really want to challenge us and test our knowledge through exams.

Faculty :

The facility at Temple want the best for their students. They are knowledgeable and provide us with the best education and real-life experiences. They are all very well educated and want us to succeed.

Hostel :

We have dorm rooms at Temple that are required for freshman students. This allows students to socialize and get comfortable with the change of going to college. Following that year, you can choose to stay in a dorm, get an off-campus apartment or house, or commute from your family home.
