ISU College Review

10.0 /10

The program I was interested in was one of the best. I talked to many teachers and parents that went to ISU and they all said really great things about the program I was going into and the school itself.

Course Curriculum :

I think the course curriculum is very organized and set up in the best way possible for students to achieve a successful learning experience in the classroom. Everything we learn is information that is beneficial towards our career field.

Exams :

I only took the ACT sand that was in high school. I wasn't required to take any other exams simply because I was staying in Illinois for school and my major didn't require any additional testing.

Placement :

I'm not too sure. I have gotten jobs that are somewhat related to my career field but not a job that I would want for the future. I believe they said that there would be an increase in job opportunities in the future years.

Internship :

They don't provide internships. They make sure you are aware of internship opportunities though. Professors are always trying to encourage us to get experience and point us in the best direction of what internship could be a great experience for what we are looking for.

Fees :

The only fees I've paid here have been the tuition, housing, club fees and anything additional that I would need.

Scholarship :

I have both scholarships and financial aid. You can apply for financial aid through the FAFSA website, it's very simple. Most schools post scholarship opportunities that you can apply for or you can research them on your own.

Examination Structure :

It depends on each class. Some are more exam based and some don't really have exams. It just depends on what the class is focusing on and what the professor thinks is best as well. Most of my classes are lecture based with minimal testing.

Faculty :

I like the faculty. They are very hands-on and show an interest in our learning. They also care about what they're doing and how they can improve to better help our learning.

Hostel :

For the first 3 years, I lived in a dorm. The first two years are required and the third year I chose to stay simply because I didn't mind it and dorms pretty much provide everything you need. I now live in an apartment and I love it.
