You'll explore the process of creating visual elements and assets for game media, including concept art, two-dimensional images, three-dimensional models and textures, digital sculpture and user interface design.
- Produce what will be presented in a game engine or as part of a game production pipeline.
- Apply what you learn to other fields: film, architectural design and visualization, concept art and video, painting and drawing.
- Specialize within the focus area by concentrating on 2D or 3D courses. This provides the opportunity to develop skills in targeted areas.
- Use complex 3D software to "build" your works.
You will gain skills in multiple media forms while tackling big-picture ideas. You'll understand how rapidly evolving social media platforms are affecting the way art is produced and experienced and learn how digital and traditional approaches can be combined. You'll explore the artistic process by evaluating, deconstructing and revising your work in innovative production classes and seminars. And you will be supported in developing your own distinctive voice as a creative artist.
Through collaborations with other students, classroom teaching and hands-on experience, you'll become conscious of branding, entrepreneurship and curatorial practices, grounding you in the business of interdisciplinary artistic endeavor. You will gain proficiencies in multiple areas to increase your marketability in a variety of dynamic creative industries. You'll graduate with a broad portfolio, and you will have built a highly marketable résumé that will help you stand out in this extremely competitive field.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Applicants should submit official transcripts of all secondary coursework completed
- Official transcripts need to be evaluated by a NACES accredited agency
- Submit two letters of recommendation out of which one should be from school counselor and other should be from a person who can assess you potential
- Submitting SAT/ACT score is optional
- Submit a writing sample in response to a given theme
- Submit a personal statement
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
