Admission Criteria

Selection of the candidate will be based on test/interview.

Eligibility Criteria

For admission to the PhD Programme, a candidate must satisfy one of the following criteria:

Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/Computer Applications/Electronics/IT or equivalent area with a minimum Cumulative Grade point average (CGPA) of either 6.0 in a 10 point scale or 60% of marks.
Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Mathematics or equivalent in a relevant area from any national institute of importance with a minimum CGPA of either 7.0 in a 10 point scale or 70% of marks .
A student of IIIT Kottayam who is continuing his/her BTech-MS studies and having a minimum CGPA of 7.0 at the end of sixth semester may be enrolled in the PhD programme of the institute in the beginning of his/her seventh semester of study. Such students can receive BTech-MS and PhD Degrees. The degrees will be awarded after completion of PhD degree.
