Mandsaur University (MU) offers regular Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in various fields such as engineering, pharmacy, management, library science, and journalism.

Mandsaur University also offers research courses i.e. Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D). Only candidates with the relevant qualifying degree can register themselves for admission to M.Phil/Ph.D courses and final selection will be done on the basis of marks scored in the Entrance Test, conducted by the university. 

Applications to M.Phill and Ph.D. programs can be made in the month of January and June. Candidates can submit the application form in both online and offline formats as per their choice.  To complete the application process candidates are required to submit an application fee of INR 1000.  Check Mandsaur University Admission

Exemption from Entrance Test:

  • UGC-NET/CSIR (JRF) examination/SLET/GATE  qualified candidates/ teacher fellowship holders or DST/ICMR/any other National Agency Fellow or have Ph.D. degree in the allied subject from a recognized University are exempted from the appearing of entrance test.
  • The selection of candidates will be based on their performance in the interview as well as overall academic merit.
  • Those candidates are exempted from appearing in the entrance test for Ph.D. program, who have obtained M.Phil. Degree with minimum B+ grade or equivalent as a regular student from any recognized University.

Admission Process

The selection of the candidates for both the courses is based on Entrance test and candidates will be selected as per the merit list released after conducting personal interview and verification of original documents.

The duration of the exam will be 2 hours and there will be two papers: Paper I and Paper II. The exam pattern is explained below:

Paper I is common for all streams comprising 50 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of 1 mark each. Questions will include following areas:

  • General Awareness & Current affairs
  • English Language
  • Logical Reasoning
  • Quantitative Analysis
  • Research Aptitude

Paper II would be subject-specific and will comprise of  50 MCQs from the specified syllabus.

Note: All selected Ph.D. /M.Phil. Students will have to attend the course work for one semester. Candidates who have done M.Phil through distance education are not exempted from course work.

Reservation

SC/ST and physically challenged/disabled candidates will get 5% relaxation in the qualifying exam.

How To Apply?

  1. Candidates are required to fill the online application form or offline application form available on the University website before the last date.
  2. Application fee of Rs. 1000/- must be deposited in the bank account through NEFT/Cash deposit/Net banking/ATM debit card as per the given details in the application form.
  3. Upload scan copy of required documents and payment receipt while applying online.
  4. Incomplete applications will be rejected. Candidates must have to produce an attested copy of documents for verification of eligibility at the time of enrollment.

Enclosures

  • Scanned passport size photograph
  • Scanned Class X mark sheet.
  • Scanned Post-Graduation marks sheet till the final semester/year. 
  • Preliminary research idea. (to be uploaded while filling the online application and not to exceed 1000 words).
  • A valid personal e-mail ID.
  • Application fees of Rs. 1000/- using a Debit / Credit card.

Note: Candidates are required to bring the original fee receipt along with the admit card in order to appear for the entrance examination.
