Yes, it is worth joining SRM University for a B.Tech in Computer Science. CSE Curriculum: The course curriculum followed for CSE covers all fundamental concepts like Data Structure, microprocessors, algorithms, computer organization, etc. The elective subjects are upgraded based on current industry trends. Teaching: They follow a decent teaching methodology. You will get help from the professor regarding any doubts. Exchange Program: SRM has tie-ups with universities worldwide for student exchange programs. If you meet the requirements you can spend a semester at some of the best universities in world such as Carnegie Mellon, SUNY Buffalo, UC Berkeley, and many others. Ques. Is CSE good at SRM Sonepat?

SRM Sonepat is still in its developing phase. You won’t get your money’s worth there. There are only 3 B.Tech batches that have passed out. Most placement offers are either from the marketing sector or business analysts. Just 5% of the students get job offers in core sectors of their specific streams but with a very low package. The faculty is also not that good. You can get better teachers even in certain coaching institutes where your total expense can climb up to only 6-10k for a valuable cause. You can also get various other colleges at almost the same fees, such as HMR, LPU, AMITY, SHARDA, JAYEEE, SRM Chennai, VIT, and several others. They might charge you more than the average amount, but you will be provided better faculty and facilities. The study environment in SRM Sonepat is not good neither is the student crowd. The Civil and Mechanical branches have acquired nearly zero placement (except only a handful of 2–3 students) for the past couple of years. The students who pass out are mostly offered jobs that are not related to their actual branch. So, it will be better if you don’t keep SRM Sonepat as one of your options....Read more

SRM, Sonepat, and Northcap University, Gurgaon are both UGC approved private institutions of India. While SRM has been graded ‘A’ by NAAC, Northcap is not graded, but accredited by the same. Northcap is also ranked 151 out of 200 top universities by NIRF. Both universities have their unique set of pros and cons and an individual must research them thoroughly before choosing one.
