The placements here in JU is very good almost every eligible candidate gets placed.
The faculty here at JU is one of the world class faculties, their knowledge levels are too great.
Greenery , the lakes , the trees and ground being well managed, well most part of it atleast
The facilities: sports to debate and dance all facilities are available
The seniors provide a very healthy environment and help the juniors with all kinds of problem including the personal problems

Dislike

In previous times ragging has been done in this college so I am afraid of it
Hostel seats are very limited so students have to manage their accommodation themselves.

I chose this course because there lot of government jobs in the civil engineering Dept. There have student and faculty ratio is about 1:10. faculty are highly knowledgeable and experienced .there have per yr 2 semesters and 4 class tests per.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had a rank of around 1k in Wbjee, my options were mechanical, production, power and civil. Civil engineering at Jadavpur University is one of the oldest and most renowned branches in the country. I had a prior interest in this field so I chose this course. The faculty is very helpful and you'll get to study under one of the best professors all over India, number of professors in my faculty ate around 40 and the batch strength is 130. All the faculty members have a PhD some even have a post-doc and the method used is the conventional chalk and board method bit yet it is very effective, in my branch some practical knowledge or field knowledge is required so we often have practical experience of the theoretical knowledge we gained, through field trips, training at various sites and college practical classes as well which happen weekly twice. The term exams aren't very difficult but if you study well you can obviously ace it, no extra studying is required for the GATE exam and just give a few mocks

Best Engineering college jadavpur university

Course Curriculum Overview:

I dreamed to study at this college and got this chance from jee exam. The faculty are very much educated they are PhD level and have very much knowledge. The teaching method of the teachers is very good they are very much helpful. The semester exams come about 6 months and there also class tests happen in half of the semester.
