One has to take jee main entrance exam. Eligibility is 10+2 with an aggregate percentage of 75 per cent in the 12th board. We can find the application form from the main website of Jee itself. The application form fee varies every year but is around Rs.650
Admission:
Eligibility: For B.tech you must have qualified jee main with good percentile and your percentage in class 12th should be greater than 75%. For M.tech or other courses, you have to qualify for other examinations like gate, etc. For jee main application date you have to visit the NTA website. You can fill out your application form online and pay the examination fees(1000 rupees) online. Same procedure for gate etc examination. If you qualify for the JEE mains exam with a good percentile then you have to do counseling for colleges through Josaa or csab or Dasa.

I took JEE Main and qualified to be eligible for B.Tech. at any NIT. Admission into NIT was through JOSAA and when the seat was finally allowed, online student registration at the respective NIT's website had to be done.
