About IIT Kanpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is decent not much hard. Faculty members are nice and helpful. Faculty to the student is good I don't have exact numbers. Our faculty members are highly qualified and do their PhD from foreign universities. The teaching method is decent. Weekly quizzes or assignments are kept given to students depending on professors. Quizzes are not much difficult but midsem Or endsem exams may be.

I chose this course because of my rank. The ratio here is around 300-400 students for first-year students but after that, it reduces to around 50-100 students depending on the department they are enrolled in here. The faculty are highly qualified and great at teaching. But exams are tough here so you need to study regularly.

Every branch equal opportunity, Just hardwork matters

Course Curriculum Overview:

Btech- Materials Science and Engineering is a good course, You get to learn many theoretical as well as numerical subjects. Topics like the solid state are Important. I have chosen this course because I preferred college over a branch, but now I can say the branch is also good. Most people apply for software-related jobs. Almost all students get placed. Getting an internship is quite a difficult task, but that's for every branch. The class size is not too large, so if you like to interact with professors, you can easily do it. Most of the professors are Ph.D. from foreign universities. They teach quite well, students usually study a few days before the exam and can pass the course by just seeing the slides provided by the professors.
