The campus placement is best as we can apply for internships whenever we want we get a lot of mails to our college mail
The best in class faculties and the best environment to study along with like minded people.
Best part is that it is fully online, therefore we get a lot of time at our home.
Campus life is at the best, u can make or break u r career here
The industry interaction talks it offer is one of the best part
Research atmosphere is very good professor will show hell lot of interest in it
Greenary, flora and fauna of the campus , weather is great here

Dislike

There are scholarships available for OBC-NCL category students, provided their annual income is below a certain amount which I am unsure of.
Sports facilities were not there, and I will not talk about extracurricular activities since they were hardly present.
The food quality in messes is pathetic, but there are alternative cafes where we can take advantage of better options.
Faculty doesnt understand student life well, as they always have a very negative image of us.

Life in IIT Madras

Placement Experience:

The student is eligible t sit for placements in their 7th semester. More than 200 companies come for placements with more than 1200 offers. The highest placement is usually for SDE or quant. 70% of the students get placed and the rest take up higher studies and entrepreneurship.

Remarks:

The admission is through JOSAA and your rank in JEE Advanced and the cut off for particular categories. There are reservations available for non-general people based on the quota. The process of admission is 6 rounds and your final allotment shall be your branch in which you shall be admitted. We can opt out in the middle as well once we get out of the desired branch in one of the rounds.

Genuine Review of IIT Madras

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester, students are eligible for campus placements. There are around 500 companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, shell, Schlumberger, etc. visit every year and they made a total offer of around 1500. In 2022, the average package was around 21 LPA. After getting my degree, my dream is to become a software developer.

Remarks:

You must clear JEE Advanced cut-off marks for this course. You have to visit NTA official website to apply for JEE. For SC and ST students there are 15% and 7.5% of seats are reserved respectively. For PWD students there are 5% of seats are reserved.

Placement Experience:

Placements vary from branch to branch. Our college attracts more than 300 companies every year constantly. must say around 50-60 percent of people crack on-campus placements and others mostly get a job in off-campus opportunities.

Remarks:

I applied through JEE Mains and Advanced Exam. The exam got conducted In the environment of the coronavirus. That time government had just lifted the lockdown. Talking about the cutoff. It was around 30 for sc/st and 65 something for General Student.
