Candidate must have passed Material Science & Engineering, Material Science & Metallurgical Engineering, Material Science & Technology, Materials & Metallurgical Engineering, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, Metallurgical & Materials Technology, Metallurgical Engineering & Material Science, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, Forging and Foundry, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials & Metallurgical Engineering, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, Metallurgical & Materials Technology, Metallurgical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering & Material Science, Metallurgy, Production Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC or at least 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) and 55% marks in case of SC/ST/PwD candidates or 6.0 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) from a recognized university/Institute. Final-year appearing students may also apply on a provisional basis.

Students are required to deposit the balance of the fee through online mode (preferably net banking) vide the MNIT ERP portal at the time of admission. However, in special circumstances fee may be deposited through debit card, draft, etc. in the name of the Registrar MNIT Jaipur payable at Jaipur.
