The admission process is smooth. The eligibility for this course Admission to CUSAT is through the CUSAT-CAT examination. Since our batch(2020) admission was during Covid, The criteria were 10 and 12th percent. Most of the procedures were online and through portals.

Admission:

The CAT exam is conducted by the university. Just write on the internet about CUSAT CAT registration you will get the link for registration. Generally its forms in February or March. If you are Keralite and general you need to pay only 50000. If you are Keralite and SC/ST you have to pay only around 500.

Admission:

Firstly I apply for keam entrance exam, then according to your performance, you will get a particular rank. There will be different cut-offs for each course. In my admission time computer science has the highest cutoff due to the great demand for the course. There will be some relaxation in cutoff according to their reservation in caste such as OBC, OEC, SC, ST, etc.

Admission:

The CAT exam is conducted by the university and the rank determines the eligibility in various courses, Ship technology, and Computer Science Engineering are chosen by most of the high-ranked students. The official website of cusat will provide official notifications on exams. Most of the admission procedures are conducted in offline mode, In my opinion, it would be more comfortable if processed in online mode.

A good government college with premium values

Admission:

We can get admission at the school of engineering CUSAT by pairing the entrance to cat every year conducted by the University. We can find the application fees and all the deadlines on cusat admission website. There are various categories of reservations that can be avoided for the students applying for society to get entrance examinations. Personally, I have opted for an OBC reservation which helps need to acquire admission to this college.

Yeah, there is an entrance to my college. The application form and available on the college site itself. Admission. Cusat. The application fee is 1000. There is a reservation for sc/st and as well as obc. Sc/st reserved people have much-reduced fees.

Admission:

Yes. We need clear the CUSAT CAT entrance examination and be on the rank list for admission to any course here. Every year the entrance exam will be conducted and the application process and further details can be accessed from the website of admission of cusat. I opted for the general ews category which will help you in ranking the list quota of ews category. There are various reservation categories too. They will not consider the 12th standard marks for admission which can be both advantageous and disadvantageous for students at the same time.

Ques. How many marks are required to get into CUSAT in any stream?

CUSAT has two campuses. There is a difference in infrastructure and facilities in the two campuses, thus having separate demands among candidates. So, the cut-off ranks of similar departments in the two campuses of CUSAT are different. For getting a seat in any department of the first campus, you will require a rank within 1000, or maybe within 1200-1300 at maximum. For getting a seat in any department at the second campus, the difference from the ranks of the first campus is huge. Also, it varies a lot from year to year. Sometimes, the required cut-off is within 2500-3000, whereas there are sessions with cut-offs of about 5000-6000 too. Even after these ranks, there are chances of students getting a seat in CUSAT at the spot counseling rounds. One of my friends graduated from CUSAT and he shared some tips to do well in CUSAT with me. Here are the tips. First of all, just do not think about rushing on the marks. Study well, work on the concepts, try to finish the syllabus, and manage your time well. And secondly, coming to marks, well if you notch up about 300 then, you will surely be in the top 1500, and a 250 + will also get you a decent rank within 3000. Congratulations on getting such a good rank. I have many friends who cleared CUSAT and are well settled in their respective fields. Based on their reviews about the institution, I can give you some information about it a bit. For the main campus of CUSAT, you can get into almost any branch with this rank. However, the exceptions are Computer science engineering and Safety & Fire engineering. In the case of CUCEK, which is the rural branch of CUSAT, you can get into any branch with this score. In short, 1,820 is quite a good rank for CUSAT if you are into any field except CSE and Safety & Fire. The cut off marks of CUSAT vary year to year. One of my sisters is an alumnus of CUSAT. As per her experience, there are basically two phases in the admission procedure. Admission Process: Given below is a short overview of the admission process at CUSAT. Rank-wise Allotment: There are three phases in the allotment. Each of them is conducted with a difference of 10-15 days. If you have a rank up to 8000, you may get selected. After the selection, you have an option to drop and change the course. Direct Allotment: After the seat allotment based on ranks is completed, the direct allotment process starts. Which is similar to the bidding market. The consideration is made as per your rank along with physical presence. The direct allotment process is similar to that of online marketing, and you will be able to see your results on the projector. This process will continue till the vacancies are filled. You should maintain regular phone contact with the admin panel of CUSAT. CUSAT Cutoff 2020 : According to the 2020 cutoff trend, the required cutoff at CUSAT campuses for General category students are as follows. Particular Thrikkakara Campus Kuttanadu, Alappuzha Cutoff 103 678 My sister told me that in 2012, the last rank of CSE was around 12000, through the reservation quota. With this cutoff rank, students usually get admission to the Kuttan campus. According to student reviews, the Kuttan campus does not have a good infrastructure. Your CUSAT CAT rank is decent. You’ll need to wait patiently in the counseling process. You have a high chance of being called for counseling. You might need to stick to Mechanical as your first option until the third shortlist is out. The next thing you should be careful about is that of choosing the lower options. The reason behind this step is that sometimes you will be selected for your lower options and might get a chance to upgrade to Mechanical although there is no surety for this to happen at all times. So, choose branches like IT, civil as your lower options carefully based on your preferences. Keep your hopes high patiently and wait for the allotment positively. A word of advice, if you are getting admission for Mechanical Engineering at any other colleges, go for it. Rather than waiting around for the opportunity to get Mechanical at CUSAT. The institute does not have a good placement record for Mechanical. You will most likely get recruited by IT firms after the completion of the course.
