Choosing political science was more of my passion for going deep into the roots of society by knowing the technical know-hows of the polity as well. And yes this course is also a tool that aids students preparing for civils. So for me opting this was a mixture of both reasons. The student-faculty ratio if spoken about, approx 250 students in the dept. and there is a team of 10 teachers. So yeah it is 1:25 approx. If we talk about the qualifications, all the faculties here without exception are highly qualified. One gets to see a combination of professors, associate professors and assistant professors here. But all of them are well versed in the respective papers. The teaching method used by most of them is great and excellent, while for the remaining some of them it's up to the mark. Exams are taken by DU as the authority and the college just has to conduct them. So yes they're quite regular and on time. About passing them, I would say, the level here is moderate.
Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi, is known for its strong academic curriculum and excellent faculty member, One of the reasons why students choose Sri Venkateswara College is the faculty members. The faculty members at the college are highly qualified. They have extensive knowledge and experience in their fields and subjects. Students have praised the faculty members of political science for being supportive, approachable, and providing personalized attention to each student, and each student receives individual attention and support from their teachers. This helps students to clarify their doubts and get a better understanding of the subject. The teaching methods used by the faculty of political science are innovative and engaging. They encourage students to participate in classroom discussions and to think critically. Term exams at Sri Venkateswara college are conducted on time, and students are given sufficient time to prepare for them. Venky is one of the top colleges at DU.
i chose political science hons. faculty is amazing . they are ready to help anytime of the day. exams were held in time and they were not as difficult as we thought them to be . we prepared well withg a strategy of reviwing the past papers and then preparing for the exams .
I choose this course because I have an interest in it The faculty of this course is very GOOD ... The student ratio in this course is also very good compared to all courses The faculty in our college are very co-operative, and friendly and provide the students with apt guidance to achieve their goals but some are not interested in teaching and some are very strict. Exams are held after 3 or 4 months And the exams are not at all tough. Even if you start to prepare 20 - 30 days before the exam you can score a decent percentage ( above 70). Concentrate on 10 years and notes they will get you through exams.
I have chosen Political Science(Hons.) for my graduation, Political Science was the subject which I have always liked. It's just I followed my passion as I always wanted to pursue Politics. At Delhi University the student ratio is slightly high one class consist of even 80-90 students. The faculty of Delhi University is also good as high-profile teachers are there. Also, Ad-hoc teachers are there to complete their training. The teaching method is also good as uses projectors and auditoriums and even goes for study trips. In Delhi University semester exams happens which means term-wise exams and class test are frequent and regular in the university. Exams are not that difficult it is easy to pass but the checking is quite strict.
Exams in our college are scheduled per semester wise and the difficulty level of exams is at the very balanced level student who has studied throughout the semester can easily pass whereas a student who has studied only a few days I feel some obstacles in passing the examination.
