IGNOU Ph.D Psychology Eligibility criteria

Applicants need to ensure minimum eligibility criteria for applying in Ph.D. Psychology course. The minimum eligibility requirements are given below:

• Minimum 55% marks in Master’s degree with Psychology from UGC recognized University.
• 5% relaxation for OBC, SC, and ST candidates in eligibility criteria.

IGNOU Ph.D Psychology Selection Process

The admission process is conducted through online methods. The admission is provided to the candidates as per the merit obtained in the entrance examination and interview.

Selection process:

• The selection of candidates is based on the national level entrance examination which is conducted by NTA all over the country.
• The entrance test is conducted in 13 cities.
• The applicants need to secure a minimum of 50% in the entrance examination for being shortlisted in the interview process.
• The applicants with NET/ JRF/ GATE rank or M.Phil. Degree are exempted from the entrance examination and can appear for the interview directly.
• The interview is conducted by the Doctoral Research Committee of the Psychology department at the university.
• Offer letters are provided to the selected candidates for further admission process.

IGNOU Ph.D Psychology Assignments

Non Submission of Assignment

The TMA for each semester can be downloaded from the Student Zone of the University website. You have to complete the assignment within the due dates specified in the assignment booklet. You will not be allowed to appear for the term-end examination for any course if you do not submit the assignment in time for that course. If you appear in the term-end examination, without submitting the assignments, the result of the term-end examination is liable to be canceled.
