Eligibility Criteria

Candidate should have passed 

  • Graduates in any system of medicine recognized by respective councils.
  • Graduates/Post graduates in Nursing, Pharmacy or any allied health care system/ speciality with at least two yearsof working experience in hospitals having a minimum of 100 beds.
  • Graduates/Post Graduates in any field with at least five years of experience in supervisory/managerial capacity in a hospital having a mimimum of 100 beds.

Course Details

The University Development fee of Rs 200/- is to be paid at the time of admission in addition to the program fee.

In IGNOU, 1 Credit = 30 hours of a learner’s study time.

Ques. What are the consequences of Invalid Registration of a Candidate in IGNOU?

Ans. Even after completing the programme, your registration could be declared invalid at the time of result. The reason could be one or more of the following:

  • The Candidate has appeared in the exam without Registration.
  • Registration Period of the Candidate has expired.
  • Registration Details of the Candidate are not forwarded from the concerned Regional Centre to the SR&E division.
  • The Candidate is not eligible for registration for the Course.

Ques. What is the Infrastructure for Implementation for the PGDHHM Course in IGNOU?

Ans. The programme will be implemented through a network of health infrastructure all over India. IGNOU has 22 Regional Centres (RCs) which are directly responsible for the programme-related activities of the region. The headquarters has nine schools looking after the academic components and several divisions for administrative components.

Ques. What is the Seat Intake Capacity for PGDHHM Course in IGNOU?

Ans. In each Programme Study Centre (PSC) a maximum of 40 students will be admitted. At present, the total number of programme study centres activated at present are 23 for IGNOU. PSCs for the programme are at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jabalpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Nagpur, Patna, Pune and Srinagar.

Ques. How did the term end examinations for DNHE Course conducted by IGNOU?

Ans. term-end examination is the major component of the evaluation system and if carries seventy percent weightage in the Final result. The University conducts Term-end Examinations twice a year in the month of June and December every year. Students will be permitted to appear in Term-end Examination subject to the condition that registration for the courses in which they wish to appear is valid or in other words the maximum time to pursue the programme has not elapsed.

Ques. What if the Candidate fails in the Examination of PGDHHM Course in IGNOU?

Ans. In case any student fails to get a pass score in the Term-end Examination, the person will be eligible to reappear at the next Term-end Examination for that course.

Ques. Is this PG Diploma (DHHM) a recognised one?

Ans. IGNOU came into existence by an Act of Parliament. The programmes offered by IGNOU will be treated on par with those offered by any other central or state university in the country. So, there is no need to worry about the recognition of the PG Diploma.
