But, if you are planning to pursue metallurgy, let me tell you that you will have lesser job opportunities in both the public and private sectors in India. You might have to shift to another country to get a well-paying job and earn decently in your field of study. Electrical at NIT Silchar: There are also some really good facilities here including the largest digital library in South Asia. The campus is really good too. The placement records are amazing. Moreover, electrical is an evergreen branch with decent scope in the public sector. This would surely make a good alternative.
