Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science at the University of The West of England is a 3 years program.

The program gives students a compelling mix of academic knowledge, practical experience, and advanced skills to fast-track their career.
It was designed with input from professional forensic scientists to give students a deep understanding of the way science is used to investigate crime.
Students learn about three main areas: biological sciences, chemical analysis and techniques, and forensic science.
Guest lectures from inspirational professionals will be provided to students which gives an insight into specialist topics and they can tailor the degree to suit their specific interests.
Through a balanced mix of lectures, tutorials, workshops, and laboratory work, students will learn about the practical application of forensic science and develop strong problem-solving and communication skills.
University will encourage students to do summer internships and placements, and they can apply to spend a year studying abroad.
Students could work with forensic science providers or the Police, or as a laboratory analysts. Many students do postgraduate study, particularly in toxicology, forensic anthropology, osteology and archaeology.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

UCAS Tariff points: 120
GCSE: Grade C/4 or above in English Language or Literature, Mathematics and Double Science, or equivalent.
A-level subjects: Grade B in Biology or Chemistry.
Baccalaureate IB: A minimum Grade 6 in Higher Level Biology or Chemistry.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete the following eligibility criteria:

Students should have a Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate (Standard XII) from boards such as CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB with 65% including grade C in at least five subjects.
Students with lower grades may be considered for entry onto a foundation degree.
Students should hold a 70% score in the English Language in Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate - Standard XII from CBSE/CISCE/WBCHSEB.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
