Remarks :
We had to appear for the JEE Exam for the admission in BTech course and according to our marks and ranking in the exam, we were offered scholarships based on that, All the application details, fees, scholarships, discounts, and offers can be found on the university website and can also be found from the admission centers across North India. If the seats remained unoccupied in any of the courses, then the seats were offered to the candidates who had not appeared for the JEE exam in that year. It also gave lateral entry to diploma students where they will be admitted to the 2nd Year of the respective course in any stream.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I had a heavy interest in Automobiles and wanted to pursue Automobile Engineering, but that course was not available on that particular campus so I had to choose the next best thing for me. For a student strength of 1000+ in a single campus, there were approximately 40 faculties of different departments. Most of the faculties are doctorate holders from top universities in India and abroad with exceptional experience in teaching and very good Academic knowledge in their respective fields. 16 mid-, and 8 end-term exams. The shift from 1st year which is common to each stream in the Btech Course to the 2nd year where specialized studies took place, was very difficult. It seemed like the difficulty X5 times in 2nd year compared to that of 1st year, But overall, if you are diligent in your studies and learn the basics of the course, It isn't difficult to pass the exams. But surely there are some subjects that are extremely hard and would require a lot of study hours and guidance from the faculty.
Internships Opportunities :
Our universities contacted the alumnus to explore the possibilities for internships in their companies or under them. This allowed students to learn from their alma maters and get hands-on experience in the industry and what the future holds.
Placement Experience :
Students are eligible after 3 years of education in our course. Companies like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, and Adobe came for campus recruitment and made very good offers to the students. The average package for these companies was approximately 10 LPA.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee hike took place every year and due to the addition of extra learning aids in the university, It was justified at the time. I held a domicile certificate in Uttarakhand and there was a policy for a discount for that in the university so it was very. cost-friendly compared to the students from other states. Right now as we speak the fees have turned 2.5 times it was when I enrolled. Scholarships to female candidates, dependents of a military person, and academic-based scholarships are offered to the students.
Campus Life :
The annual fest named GRAFEST is held twice a year. Once during the month of October- November and next May-June depending upon the exams schedule. The teams from our university also participated in cultural and Sports Tournaments at a Cluster level where other colleges also participated. All the books required for the courses are available in the library where you can loan them for up to two weeks at a time. and if there was a shortage of any book in the library, a soft copy of the same was readily available to the faculties and the TAs. All the classrooms had a projector and a white screen for the teacher and students to present their teaching techniques. Our university had college and department teams for both Intra and inter-college tournaments and they were held once every two months for a competitive and healthy lifestyle of the students. the main focus was on soccer, cricket, basketball, and volleyball.
