Remarks :

The examination process is simple. The eligibility is securing 75 percent and above in your boards and if you have got 90 or above then you may get direct admission as well. The application form is available both online and offline. The dates and fees are mentioned in a pdf that is uploaded on the website. The admission process is very flexible. Since this is a private university, so the student intake is high as well.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is based on the syllabus released by the government. I have chosen computer science and the majority of the students are from this branch only. Though there are a lot of different courses available as well which are good. The faculties are mostly PhD ones and they are good. But it's a college and one cannot rely on the teachers to excel. You have to study on your own and the faculties are just for explaining the ppts and taking your attendance. The semester exams are held every six months.

Internships Opportunities :

They say that they try to provide internships to every student but that's not clear yet. Hackathons are organized and promoted among the students so they can build their resumes. The facility to promote smartups here is really good and the environment provided to support it is very good. They even help you to get patents.

Placement Experience :

In the third year, the university claims to send the students on training and internship, though that's not clear at all. Regarding placements, they don't release much news but mass recruitment is there. The university has a lot of collaborations with foreign universities so you might consider pursuing a master's from abroad.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The annual fee is 175000 every year. The cost of study is actually low compared to other private colleges. Scholarship is not provided here and you can't get any financial aid as well. Just manage on your own. Either take a student loan or you can do freelancing.

Campus Life :

The annual fest of chitkara is Rangrezz. In this college, a lot of concerts and DJ nights are held timely. Students can release their frustration over there and enjoy it. They even threw a party on Valentine's Day. The library is small compared to the college's population. The books that are required as per your syllabus are available in the library but they are in limited quantity. As soon as the new subjects and syllabus are released students tend to rush to the library to issue their books. But nowadays online books are available too. Classrooms are fully air-conditioned and spacious as well. A seperate area is reserved for sports and outdoor activities. Every type of ground for sports is available. An indoor sportorium is present along with a swimming pool.

Hostel Facilities :

The rooms are really good. The space and design will give u apartment vibes. The option of common and attached washrooms are available as well. Cleaning staffs regularly clean your room. Mess is okayish. Hostels are available for both girls and boys. Although the number of hostels for boys is more than for girls. You can rent a room or PG as well but they are at a distance. Some people may prefer PGs over hostels because of a lot of rules and regulations.
