REVIEW ON ST THOMAS COLLEGE

Remarks :

I have been selected by my 12th eligibility and not by any entrance exam. We can apply for admission at the office in the main block. The details of the reservation and other benefits can be enquired at the office. The application fee is different for each course and can vary for SC/st category students. Also, the application dates will be published by the college authorities at the time before admission on the official website of the college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course because I was interested in this subject. The faculty-student ratio is approximately 1:7 and the faculty is well qualified. The teaching method also is exceptional and really great. The exams are conducted on time always and exams are moderately difficult.

Internships Opportunities :

The college provides a lot of internship opportunity and certain of them has stipend too. Companies like tcs, bosch, cognizant etc provide internships to qualified candidates. The projects are done by students and it is done by students alone. The outcomes will be presented by them and assistance and correction will be given by the faculty.

Placement Experience :

The placement cell is active and good. The placement drives start in the 5th semester and a lot of companies like Deloitte, tcs, bosch, cognizant etc are coming to the placement drives at the college. The average salary package is 2 lakhs per annum and the highest one is 8 lakhs per annum. Almost 25 % of students get placements every year. My plan too is to secure such a job.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure of each course is different, but for my course, it was approximately 1,25,000 and a fee hike is not really experienced. I did not avail of any scholarship or financial assistance from college, but the jobs at the placement drive at college are fairly superb.

Campus Life :

The classrooms, labs and all basic facilities are really good and well maintained. The arts and sports departments in colle3ge and those activities are really supportive and in full swing always. There are a lot of clubs run by students and faculty and they are really creative. overall, the campus and the vibe are extraordinary.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I love nature and I am really interested in plants. In this college above 2100 students and 62 teachers. Each and every teacher completes their Post-graduation with a high mark or rank. Many of them completed their Ph.D. and some of the teachers are currently working on it. Teaching methods are strictly traditional methods. Provide notes, conduct exams, ask questions, etc. Term exams are conducted by Kannur University. In every 6 months. It's actually a semester system. Also, internal tests conducted by college faculties are really easy.
