Remarks :
To be eligible for computer science courses at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada, one should get a very good rank in EAMCET which is now EAPCET conducted by the Andhra Pradesh Government. A rank of around 3000 seems to have a very high chance of being eligible for this course. Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose computer science because I love computers and I usually have a very keen interest in the development of web and applications. I even built a few projects by myself, so when I got this seat, I took it with both hands and also the opportunities in this branch are far more as compared to any other branch. The student-faculty ratio is not too bad in our computer science department, they made sure that for at least 40 students one teacher will be there, and I am extremely delighted for their timely help and doubt assistance All my teachers have PhDs or atleast completed their MTECH in a reputed college in our country, They are highly qualified and extremely talented, but we cannot equate education with teaching, some teachers cannot properly make you understand the subject but it's your responsibility to ask them your doubts There will be two semesters for each year, Each semester takes 4-5 months to complete, and the paper toughness is easy to moderate, need not worry.
Placement Experience :
Students are eligible for campus placements from their 7TH semester onwards The companies visists our college are namely TCS, ACCENTURE, DARWINBOX, APXOR, TEJA'S NETWORK, UNITED ONLINE etc the highest package last year was about 16 LPA which is given by a company called DARWINBOX, the average package of our college was around 5LPA Almost all the students are placed into the companies thanks to the good quality supervisors of training and placement cell, the percentage is around 92%. My plans after getting my degree are to join a reputed company and increase my level upgrade my skills slowly to escalate the ladder of success
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Tuition is around 20000, and before each semester we have to pay examination fees of 770. For the students who opted Hostels, they have to pay around 2200 for mess fees and 3600 for room rent and other charges, before each semester The AP Government provides scholarships for all students studying in Government colleges like our college. Scholar Ship known as"JAGANNA VIDYA DEEVANA" provides us with a scholarship amount of Rs10000 in four quotas to pay our tuition fees Scholar Ship known as "JAGANNA VASATHI DEEVANA" provided as a scholarship amount of Rs20000 in two quotas to pay our hostel fees, and i am yet to receive a job letter
Campus Life :
We conduct a tech fest called "ZEIGEIST" each year, It consists of hackthones, quizzes and many more exciting things which not only entertain students but also educate them. It is generally conducted in the month of March. Student from any college is welcome here. Our college has a huge library consisting of all types of books and journals mostly based on engineering and its development, there are also many books on literature. Students can use the library service from 9A.M to 5P>M
