Remarks :

One needs to get good marks in the NEET UG examination to qualify for admission to R G Kar Medical College and Hospital. Every year NTA conducts the NEET exam in May. The application process is online and is through the NTA's official website. The application portal opens in November. It would be better if the admission is done through an online process.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Serving poor people has always been my dream. That's why I chose this profession. Now It's more like passion than profession. A good teacher-student ratio is maintained in our college. All the teachers are experts in their respective departments. They are very helpful and teach us well everything.

Class Size : 250Course Fees : INR 9000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

As we are doctors and we usually prefer to do internships in our college, usually we get internships in our college only. And the stipend is also handsome. We get placed in each clinical department in our college for about one month. Here the senior doctors help us to improve our skills and help us to convert our knowledge into experience.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee is only 9000 per year. It is affordable for most of us. The government is very concerned about this and they are making it very affordable for us A minority scholarship is awarded to us. Also, there are SVMCM and other scholarships. Interns get 30k per month and it is a very good amount.

Campus Life :

Our annual fest is called Lobelia. It is one of the biggest fests in northeast India. We also arrange an academic fest. It is usually organized in September month. A well-organized library with important books and journals really attracts us to the library room. Class room is well organised with a fan, tube, ac, and projector. We are very active in sport. We usually organize 4 to 5 tournaments every year. and other cultural events are also organized. Lobelia, Metamorphosis.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was very mesmerized by the doctors who were working day and night for mankind and saving people day and night with their hard work and dedication. I wanted to be like them and wanted to make my parents proud. The ratio of faculty to students is 1:20 The faculty are very good and helpful they always come forward to help us and teach us in a very simple way which is very easy to understand. The term exams occur at an interval of 6 months and it is quite difficult to pass.

I chose the MBBS course as I wanted to be a doctor and I have to do this course to be one. our total no. Of students is 250 and our student-to-faculty ratio is close to 30:1. The faculty members are really experienced in their own respective fields. The professional exams and semesters are a little difficult but you can pass easily by studying consistently for 3-4 hours a day. In the 5 years of MBBS, you will have 4 professional exams at the end of the year and 9 semesters.
