Remarks :

I appeared in NEET 2020. To get eligible for the course it is required to have a science stream in 10+2 classes with biology as a major subject and have to pass the cutoff marks for the said exam. I found the application form and other related details on the WBMCC website. The admission process was in offline mode and the process was quite smooth. Seniors in my college helped in the process and made it convenient for us. However, I feel that the admission could have been done in online mode to ease the process more and it would have taken much less time that way.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I wanted to be a doctor so I opted for this course. We have a faculty-student ratio of 1:12, The faculties are highly qualified, the professors are renowned for their teaching methods and efficiency in their respective departments. We have an air-conditioned lecture theatre where the lectures take place. We have projectors in our LT which made the learning process smooth. We have trimester internal exams in our college. The standard of exam paper is good and it is well enough to judge the learning capabilities of a student.

Internships Opportunities :

In the internship year, we are assigned to different departments for weeks. The internship takes place in our college and also in Bagbazar and Amdanga. In internship, we get a stipend of 30000 Rs which is comparatively higher than any other colleges of other states of India.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure is 9000 per year in our college and it doesn't increase with time. So it is very beneficial for the students. The underprivileged students get few scholarships for their studies from the government.

Campus Life :

Our annual fest is Lobelia and our medifest is Therapeuo. The annual cultural fest is organized in September every year and we had the academic manifest in august for the first time in this year. The library is full of books and medical journals of the latest editions. Students can easily avail the books by using library cards. Classrooms have projectors and air conditioners. We organize different intra as well as inter-college sports tournaments on cricket, football, table tennis, badminton, cards, etc. We have Aalap which is the theatrical club of our college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the MBBS course as I wanted to be a doctor and I have to do this course to be one. our total no. Of students is 250 and our student-to-faculty ratio is close to 30:1. The faculty members are really experienced in their own respective fields. The professional exams and semesters are a little difficult but you can pass easily by studying consistently for 3-4 hours a day. In the 5 years of MBBS, you will have 4 professional exams at the end of the year and 9 semesters.
