Remarks :
I gave NEET in 2020 and got admitted to the prestigious RG Kar Medical College. The college admission during that year was merged with the verification process. Eligibility for MBBS course is to complete school with Science stream and scoring 60% in each of Physics, Chemistry and Biology and then appearing for and clearing NEET. The application form can be found on the NTA website and is generally available 6 months prior to the exam.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course is hectic yet quite engrossing. Medical science had always intrigued me, therefore the course choice. Faculty are ample and classes are held regularly. They are medical experts who have years of teaching and on-field experience. Tests are held twice or thrice a year depending on the year of study.
Internships Opportunities :
The internship takes place for a year after the completion of the MBBS course. The stipend is good and the patient load is more than enough for learning the subject. The professors are very keen to teach and the patients are very compliant.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The course fees are 9000 per annum, divided into two phases throughout the year and are to be paid before the professional examinations. Scholarship opportunities are available from various governmental and non-governmental sources.
Campus Life :
The college's annual fest Lobelia is held every year in September and it is always great. Huge artists have appeared before and the trend is being continued. The college has its own bookstore and a very spacious library with all kinds of medical books. The classrooms are air-conditioned and Lecture Theatres are neat and tidy. Classes are held through lectures over presentations. Sports competitions are held once or twice a year. Various drama clubs and musical bands are also present. Lobelia's Facebook and Instagram pages are run by the students and one can find the students' creative works over there.
