Remarks :
You have to take the NEET exam and score above a certain cutoff (rank of around 13000 in the year 2020) to get admission into RG Kar Medical College. Eligibility criteria for taking the neet exam include a minimum pass percentage in the subjects biology, physics, and chemistry in the 12th standard. The admission process thereafter is easy and convenient. You have to select your college preferences online and then physically come to get admission to your allotted college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is very extensive yet with regular study hours and attendance in classroom teaching the main bulk of the course can be conveniently covered. The faculty members are very helpful, very knowledgeable and take regular classes.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure is 4500 rupees per semester for a total of nine semesters and is quite reasonable. There are ample scholarship opportunities in the field of medical research like the recently endorsed ICMR program. Being a medical college, there are no campus placements but a compulsory paid internship for one year after your graduation.
Campus Life :
Life at my college is nothing short of spectacular. The annual college fest Lobelia is definitely one of the biggest medical fests in Kolkata and eastern India, spanning over 5 days with live concerts by many famous artists. Apart from this, there is no shortage of extracurricular clubs like dance, drama, etc.
