Remarks :
The admission process was really smooth. The eligibility criteria was similiar to other colleges which is a minimum 60% in boards and the clearance of the IPMAT cutoff and the interview. The details related to admission were available on the college website.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is similar to that of IIM-I's IPM programme. There is a mix of all streams including arts. You will do coding and study Indian history too while studying management studies. The faculties are good and helpful. The faculty-to-student ratio is maintained well. The faculties have completed their PHD and well qualified. The semester exams are conducted as per the academic calendar and are of moderate to hard level.
Internships Opportunities :
After completing my first year, I had to do a social summer internship. I worked for Vikramshila Education Resource Society in Kolkata. As it was a social internship, stipends were not provided to anyone. The motive of this internship was to gain and apply practical and managerial skills.
Placement Experience :
This year the highest package stood at 30LPA which was offered by Morgan Stanley. The average package was approx 12LPA. Most of the students got placed and some opted out of the placement process to start their entrepreneurial journey. Some of the companies that visited the campus are Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, ICICI, Tata AIG etc.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There are scholarships available for students based on their family income as well as merit. The cost for 5 years is approx 20L which is a bit high but you can get financial assistance from the banks. There is a bank situated inside the campus which handles most of the Nirma work.
Campus Life :
Life on campus is pretty good. There are people from different cities, states and even countries. You will get a lot of exposure. There are various clubs and committees which are active in the college. There are events and fests very often. The sports facilities are good here. There are different courts as well as a ground. The classrooms are nicely ventilated and give the amphitheatre look. The libraries are full of books. There are thousands of books there.
Interview Experience :
For admission, a person needs to appear for the IPMAT exam conducted by IIM Indore. After this, the college announces a cutoff score and if you clear, you have to appear for the PI round. In the PI, you will be asked mostly general questions, academic questions and GK. One can prepare for these rounds by themselves as well as taking a coaching class. Other than this, there are some different admission criteria for the Gujarat quota students, the NRIs and Gulf quota students.
