Agriculture is the backbone.

Remarks :

We need to clear the ICAR exam conducted by NTA, after clearing the 12th board. If the cut-off is cleared, you are eligible to apply for admission to different agricultural universities throughout India. Applying for the exam can be done online. The application fee varies according to the category that you belong to. I had to pay 700 Rs as I belong to OBC. There are no reservation benefits in the college. However, during admission, you may get the benefits of getting into the college of your choice if you belong to the SC/ST category.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this out of interest and due to the importance of agriculture on a global level. As the college is in Gujarat, they mostly take classes in Gujarati which is hard for the out of state students to understand, although you can ask then to teach in hindi or English as well. But most of them prefer Gujarati. Faculty members are highly qualified who had done their PhD in particular subjects and have also cleared NET, SET, etc. Exams are quite easy to pass and exams are conducted in a proper routine.

Internships Opportunities :

There is no proper internship available in the college. But you will be able to apply for various jobs in the final year. You might get calls from various banks like ICICI, there are different agricultural companies that you can apply for like fertiliser production companies.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees are quite low in Gujarat state as a whole but are the lowest in AAU. Especially, girls have the advantage of paying half the fees of boys. Students who have cleared the ICAR exam have the opportunity to avail NTS scholarship provided by ICAR which is 18000/semester. To avail of the scholarship you need to maintain a CGPA >7.00.

Campus Life :

We have many programs conducted on campus and the campus is highly maintained, it's clean and green. There are clubs formed at the time of any program. The library is good as they have all the important books related to various subjects that we study in order to prepare for higher competitive exams.
