Remarks :

The eligibility for the course during that time was based on a percentage of marks obtained in maths, physics and chemistry. Under Anna University counselling I took this college with the cut-off Mark of 173. There are also people who joined on direct admission.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course purely based on my interests. The faculty availability within PEC is a good amount. There are many good amounts of doctorate and assistant professor who teaches well. Within the college, there will be exams on a monthly basis and the exams conducted by the university are quite moderate

Class Size : 48Course Fees : INR 100000 per year

Placement Experience :

From the 4th year, students' placement will start and they also provide soft skill training for them from the year of 3. Lots of companies have tied up with them for placement and they also arrange travel facilities for the group placement that occurs outside the campus. Around 80 per cent of the students normally get placed in at least one company

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee is approximately 1lakh which includes tuition fees, buses and food. They have scholarships for SC ST caste Apart from that there is a concession for first graduates in a family. Based on the percentage they will provide one more scholarship irrespective of caste

Campus Life :

They will conduct sports and cultural on a yearly basis. All the departments conduct symposiums on their own on a yearly basis. They also conduct a few conference meetings. The library has a vast collection of books from local to foreign authors for every subject. Classrooms may not have huge amenities but they have separate halls for having smart classes.

From 6th semester the students become eligible for both placement and internships. Various companies conduct placement drives on our campus. The Major recruiter of our campus is TCS and Wipro. The average package is 3.5 LPA. Last year around 70 per cent of students got placed.

Placement Experience:

There are placements for the students passing out but the jobs usually don't pay more than 15000 per month on average. The placements are not always equal to all departments like food technology department gets the most placements and biotechnology and other departments almost get no placements. The new management is doing a lot to improve the placement program.

The course is a very good and interesting one. The faculty-student ratio will be 1 faculty for every 20 students All faculties are doctorates. Terms are twice a year and are moderately difficult but their teaching is enough to clear the exams.
