Remarks :

I gave the CAT exam and after I got the minimum percentile, then I got on the shortlist for a Personal Interview. In the interview, they asked me questions related to my workex and six sigma. There were a few HR questions as well like why MBA?

Course Curriculum Overview :

IIM L is the 4th best IIM in India; rejecting it was never an option for me as it was my best call. The academic curriculum is a bit rigorous as you must give assignments and quizzes and prepare for your summer placements. But the faculty member I would say is very experienced and they would certainly clear all your doubts

Internships Opportunities :

A number of companies come for summer internship opportunities. There are Day -1, 0,1, and 2 and different companies stacked according to their domain and relation with the institute. The package of summer internships is decent.

Placement Experience :

There's 100% placement this season but it's not mandatory that every student will get placed. You need to work hard for getting placed but you get all the help from the institute for your successful placement.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The education fee at IIML is 19 lakh rupees. The hostel and mess charges combine up to 3 lakhs. So for 2 years, you would be paying 22 lakhs. It is pretty easy to get a loan as IIM L has SBI Bank, the Central bank inside the campus itself. I am not sure of all the scholarship schemes but yes I have come across some of them.

Campus Life :

The social life is pretty amazing at IIML. You will get all the amenities such as a swimming pool, squash court, and pool table. There is one main fest that is Manfest Varchasva where people from other colleges come to participate. The Annapoorna mess is the best among all the IIM's and you will get amazing food there

Hostel Facilities :

We get one separate room for every student. The room has a balcony attached to it. And there is 2 common washroom on each floor. In times of sickness, you can get food delivered from the mess. Overall my experience is good with the hostels.

Interview Experience :

I faced an online interview for getting admission at IIML. There was no WAT during my time but now they have started taking WAT as well. I took CATking interview preparation material for my interview and yes it did help me a lot. What I would suggest is be confident in your interview and it is not necessary to answer all the questions.

Placement Experience:

2nd-year students are eligible for placement. Around 100+ companies visited our campus this time and all the students are already placed. The highest package was around 24LPA and the average package is more than 10LPA. Profiles offered are management trainee, consultant, analyst, marketing intern, HR intern, etc. 100% of students got placed. I will pursue my career in the corporate world as an operation manager after getting my degree. I haven't got the placement opportunities yet hence can't tell much.
