Remarks :
The entrance Exam application form can be found easily on the college's official website (vit.ac.in). There is no reservation/quota for candidates, a purely merit-based system is in play; you are allotted ranks based upon your VITEEE scores based on which you are offered courses, under different fee categories (better your rank, more concession is given to you). Eligibility criteria as far as I know are to pass the Class 12th Board Examination (any examination board).
Course Curriculum Overview :
I've Taken Electronica and communication Engineering keeping in mind the potential of its rise. Every faculty member is supposed to manage 70 students(at max, but on average each class has 50-55 students). Each professor holds a Ph.D., being a master's in his field. So you can expect in-depth knowledge from your professors. The exam pattern is as follows: 2internal written exams (CATs), followed by one lab exam (lab-FAT), ending the semester with a FAT exam. Along with quizzes and assignments going along Scoring a decent grade is easy as you are given multiple opportunities to maintain your score.
Internships Opportunities :
You get several internship opportunities inside the campus. The placement cell sends emails to students regarding internships, followed by multiple groups (in-campus startups) reaching out to students for internships.
Placement Experience :
The college gets multiple companies from across the globe. you are allowed to reach out for internships from 2nd year onwards and placements in 3rd year onwards. ECE offers 12LPA average package.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There is no fee hike between your 4 years of study, the amount allotted to you at the time of admission remains constant. The cost varies on your VITEEE rankings. People scoring high enough to get into 1st fee category get a 50% concession in fee, and the fee rises by a certain amount along every category. The above is for the tuition fee, after that, you need to pay for the hostel and mess fee. Every hostel has a fixed amount depending upon the occupancy of that room and the type (AC/non-AC), except 2 Blocks (Q/R, as they offer apartment-type rooms).
Campus Life :
Life inside the campus is very chill. There are multiple events taking place simultaneously. 2 Fests take place every year (Tech Fest -GRAVITAS in October, Cultural Fest -RIVERA in Feb.). The Central Library is heaven for a book reader, coving books on almost every topic a person has an interest in. Classrooms are clean and well maintained having decent quality furniture. Labs on the other hand are really good and well maintained, having enough expensive equipment, giving students exposure.
Hostel Facilities :
Each person in the room is given an almirah, a table-chair set, a bed (mattress not included), and a 2 story bookshelf. Every hostel block has a mess associated with it, providing good food with proper hygiene maintenance. The mess menu is revised each month. Registration of the hostel is carried out once a year, with room availability. You are called upon based on your rank (based upon your GPA/CGPA). The seniority of one's rank is properly maintained. I stay in a 2-bed ac room in R-Block.
