Digvijay Prakash Kadam's Review On Bharati Vidyapeeth College Of Architecture - [BVDUCOA], Pune | collegedunia.com

BVDU is for YOU

Remarks :

The college conducted entrance criteria wherein they considered our NATA score marks and a Final eligible students list was published where I was positioned 1st as I scored 150 in NATA. The top 50 students were only eligible to take admission. The admission process is smooth.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose the Architecture course firstly because it's a very creative profession, plus the design that we have designed comes into reality. Also from my school days, I was fascinated by the building under construction and how they are finished and made into a still-standing structure. Because the architecture course is all about gaining knowledge and experience the faculty is soo generous in sharing their experiences. Each and every faculty is reviewed on the basis of their qualifications, experiences & knowledge and then only recruited. After every 3 weeks, there is a test conducted on theoretical subjects which helps students to review their progress.

Internships Opportunities :

Companies and firms which are well established in the field of Architecture and planning. They are having large scale as well as small scale projects. They recruit students as freshmen intern as well as a permanent employee.

Placement Experience :

A campus placement drive is conducted where firms and companies come to our college where they review the CV and portfolio and according recruit students and give them internship or job opportunities. Almost 80-90% of the students are placed.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I think the 110000 fees for the B.Arch. course in my college are pretty much okay because many extracurricular activities like workshops, guest lectures, seminars, etc. are conducted free of cost. For example "Masterclass" activity is conducted after every 2 weeks wherein eminent personalities in specific fields are invited to conduct workshops.

Campus Life :

The annual fest in our college is named "EKATRA". It is held in the month of February of every year. In this event, all the 5-year students take part actively. Basically, it is an event of 1 week. Wherein events like Freshers, Flea markets, Sports, Cultural, etc. are carried out. Every classroom has sufficient switches, Smart TV, Project, and Computer Setup.

From 5th yr the students are eligible for placements. As this has been recently introduced i don't have much idea about this but the efforts made by the faculties deserves a medal. And for the 4th year students the college helps them in getting internships.

Placement Experience:

Students can avail of campus placements and internships after the 4th semester itself. VKE, PDCL, Sunil Patil and Associates, Verenkar Associates, and Rajdeep Builders are a few of the many companies visiting for placements and internships. If the students' work is good then they are eligible, which means 100% placements can be availed with consistently good work. I want to continue with my master's and have practice.

Placement Experience:

Placements and interviews are available in college after the completion of a five-year course. Academically, the student can get an internship in the 8th and 9th semesters. But one is free to do an internship for a month or so whenever he or she wishes to. 3 to 4 lakhs of the package are offered to a freshly graduated architect from this college. But few choose to opt for a master's before getting into earning. Which is also available in this college- a master's in sustainable architecture.
