Anjani Kumar's Review On MNNIT Allahabad - Motilal Nehru National Institute Of Technology - [MNNIT], Allahabad | collegedunia.com

MNNIT

Remarks :

Admission to the course Bachelor of Technology is conducted through JEE Main exam. Around 10 lakh candidates appear for this exam. The application is filled online on the JEE Main website. The cutoff varies for different branches. MNNIT is one of the top NITs so the cutoff is on the higher side.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I took computer science and engineering because it was of interest to me and the field is very vast and offers a lot of opportunities. The faculty-to-student ratio is decent in this institute. All the faculties are highly qualified and their teaching methods are easy to understand and effective. There is a mid-semester exam and an end-semester exam which are held midway between the semester and at the end of the semester respectively. If you attend classes regularly and study on your own a bit before the exams it's fairly easy to pass them.

Internships Opportunities :

The students sit for internships at the beginning of the 5th semester and the roles are mostly related to software engineering. A lot of students get hired for paid internships and most of them get a pre-placement offer.

Placement Experience :

Students are eligible for placements in the 7th semester. A lot of good companies visit the college and there's a 100 per cent placement record for some branches. In computer science and circuital branches, there is 100 per cent placement.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There hasn't been a hike in tuition fees for a very long time. The cost to study is still high as the tuition fee is 93k for general students. But the fees vary according to the categories of the students. There are various state scholarships and college scholarships that a student can avail of. State scholarships are based on income criteria and college scholarships are based on merit criteria.

Campus Life :

The cultural fest is called Culrav and it is held in April. The tech fest is called Avishkar and it is held in December. The library is huge and has a lot of hard copies and soft copies of various books and journals available. The classrooms are decent but not too good but it has all the amenities. There is a sports fest which is held in January. The websites for Culrav and Avishkar are maintained by students.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostels are different for each year. Each room has all the basic amenities like LAN cable, wifi etc. The food in mess is alright but not too good. The mess committee is active and updates the menu frequently. Hostel registration process is online and hostel charges are justifiable.

It can also help develop your soft skills, such as being able to work in a team and the ability to solve complex problems, which are all valuable assets for both your academic and professional career, as Jasmine experienced.

There is good placement in college but you have to improve or maintain your skills from the first year. you don't need to wait for 3rd or 4th yr just do start now. for the placement, your percentage should be more than 70 in classes 10,12, and in btech.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placements from the sixth semester itself. Companies start visiting the college in the mid of the sixth semester. If you are from a computer background then be assured of 100% placement. Other courses available are MBA, BCA MTECH integrated etc. Mostly every student gets placed to maintain the reputation of the college. It has an average package of 500000 per year. After getting the degree I'll be working in the software field

The placement at my colleagues is good. We are eligible for placements from the 7th semester. The companies that visited my college are Infosys, HCL, Dot square and many more. I don't have any information about that offers. The highest package of my college is 25 lpa and the average package of my college is 3 lpa. 70-80% of students get the placements. My plan after getting the degree is to start my own startup.

Course Curriculum Overview:

BTech is a technical and applied course. Doing BTech open you many paths such as you can take direct placement after BTech in a good IT company also you can give the GATE exam for Mtech in IIT's BTech allows you to give the CAT exam and all the government UG exam so it's a good and all-rounder course. Faculty of the college s average I can say some teachers are very good and some are just lecturing
