Anshika Srivastava's Review On MNNIT Allahabad - Motilal Nehru National Institute Of Technology - [MNNIT], Allahabad | collegedunia.com

MNNIT -Review

Remarks :

The entrance exam for the course is JEE Mains. You at least need to have JEE rank under 20k to get into MNNIT. Admission Counselling is now done through JoSAA. Now, Jee Mains is conducted 3-4 times a year by NTA. Application dates and fees are updated every year on the National Testing Agency website.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose chemical engineering at MNNIT. The chemical branch is a pretty chilled branch at MNNIT, Faculty are good and have a lot of experience. In chemical Engineering, we have 10-11 dedicated professors, having a faculty-to-student ratio of 1:5. Examinations are conducted semester-wise - one at mid-semester and the other at end of the semester. First-year is a little tough, but from 2nd year onwards curriculum is easy and interesting.

Placement Experience :

The placements at MNNIT Allahabad are very good. Especially for computer science, ECE, and IT branches top product-based companies like Microsoft, Amazon, SAP, Google, and Goldman Sachs come for software developer and software engineer profiles. PPOs are also offered by these companies. Average package stood for 17 LPA. for core branches- mechanical, chemical along with good private companies like Reliance, HERO PSUs like IOCL,GAIL comes for campus placements.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Overall, total fees ( including hostel and mess) are around 2 lakhs per year totaling 8 lakhs. There are some scholarships for top performers of the branch, and also financial assistance (laptops, etc) is provided to needed students.

Campus Life :

Campus Life at MNNIT is exciting. We have one technical Festival -AVISHKAR and one cultural festival - CULRAV. A Sports festival is also conducted in the month of February where Inter Nit competitions are organized. Some of the student clubs include Dance committees, Photography club, Dramatics, Music, E-club, etc. annual E-summit -Renaissance.

A placement year can give students inspiration for final-year projects and dissertations. It can also help develop your soft skills, such as being able to work in a team and the ability to solve complex problems, which are all valuable assets for both your academic and professional career, as Jasmine experienced.

There is good placement in college but you have to improve or maintain your skills from the first year. you don't need to wait for 3rd or 4th yr just do start now. for the placement, your percentage should be more than 70 in classes 10,12, and in btech.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placements from the sixth semester itself. Companies start visiting the college in the mid of the sixth semester. If you are from a computer background then be assured of 100% placement. Other courses available are MBA, BCA MTECH integrated etc. Mostly every student gets placed to maintain the reputation of the college. It has an average package of 500000 per year. After getting the degree I'll be working in the software field

The placement at my colleagues is good. We are eligible for placements from the 7th semester. The companies that visited my college are Infosys, HCL, Dot square and many more. I don't have any information about that offers. The highest package of my college is 25 lpa and the average package of my college is 3 lpa. 70-80% of students get the placements. My plan after getting the degree is to start my own startup.

Course Curriculum Overview:

BTech is a technical and applied course. Doing BTech open you many paths such as you can take direct placement after BTech in a good IT company also you can give the GATE exam for Mtech in IIT's BTech allows you to give the CAT exam and all the government UG exam so it's a good and all-rounder course. Faculty of the college s average I can say some teachers are very good and some are just lecturing
