IIMC is the place to be in

PG

Remarks :

Admission to IIMC is a two-stage process. Step 1 comprises clearing CAT which if done, Step 2 opens up where you are supposed to give PI. The college assigns mentors to all the shortlisted candidates for guidance across the entire admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview :

MBA at IIMC comprises compulsory courses in the first year wherein you are given exposure to a diverse set of fields in management. However, the 2nd-year structure is different wherein an Electives approach is followed. Courses are auctioned and students bid for the courses they wish to enroll in. The faculty: student ratio is around 1:5. Faculty is highly qualified. We have professors who have been IAS officers and served in the Indian Defense as well, just to highlight some diversity. A fixed schedule is shared at the beginning of the term and exams are conducted every 5 weeks to keep the learnings afloat. There are quizzes, class participation marks, and several projects which are a part of the evaluation criteria.

Internships Opportunities :

Internship opportunities are provided via summer intern placements from campus. They cover 20+ industries. An extensive alum network exists which certainly helps in generating furthermore opportunities.

Placement Experience :

The campus placements are offered with a 100% success rate every year. There is a placement committee that looks after the entire end-to-end process. Preparation is conducted in a timely and organized manner. The current average CTC is 34 lacs making a good ROI.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee is 23 lacs for the entire 2 years excluding the hostel mess fee. So all in all a sum of around 25 lacs is spent throughout the two years. Financial assistance is provided to the students in need upon satisfying's some criteria. Placements are provided via campus only with a 100% success rate. Several banks have tie-ups with the Institute which provide education loans at an extremely low-interest rate.

Campus Life :

There are over 30+ clubs in the institute catering to all the diverse interests of students coming from across different places in the country. Despite a heavy focus on academics, the campus is a highly fun place to be at. There are 4 hostels. A 7 lakes fest is conducted annually imbibing its name from the 7 lakes on the campus. Coming to sports, Sangharsh is conducted between IIMA, B, C, and L in addition to the popular C vs XLRI rivalry. The sports infrastructure isn't fantastic but it still is above par when compared to other major Indian institutes.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostels are great. Single-allocated rooms are giving the students the utmost privacy considering you are doing a residential Post Graduation. The rooms are provided with Amirah, Study Table, Chair, A bed, and Fan. They are well-ventilated and the housekeeping facility is available for cleaning at different times of the day. Every hostel has its mess having different quality of food but all in all, the mess facility is great at IIMC.

Interview Experience :

Yes, the process involved writing CAT and a PI upon clearing the former. PI varies from individual to individual. However, IIMC is known to put more focus on asking academically relevant questions. Besides, a focus on dynamic current affairs is there to check your personal choices and mindset. An in-depth interview is conducted by the faculty regarding your academics.

The college follows the legacy placement processes for both the summer and final placements. The most recent data depicts the average summer internship stipend to be 263000 for the period of 2 months and 25,16,000 for the final placement offers. The highest stipend stood at 3,75,000 for 2 months and 80,00,000 for the final placements from an international firm. The college has seen 100% placements. As for my plans, I intend to secure a placement from the college placement process in my preferred domain of FMCG in sales and marketing.
