ITM University Review

Remarks :

The admission process for BSc Food Technology was a direct admission based on merit. The eligibility for the course was 10+2 with science with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. Every detail about the application form, fees, and application dates is available on the official website of ITM University. The candidates can easily reach out to the admission office for any queries. There is no such benefit offered to the reserved category students at ITM University. - The admission process at ITM University is very seamless. I was able to complete most of my formalities online. The rest of the admission formalities like the document verification and fee submission was done at the university itself and there was always a counselor to assist me. I don't think there is any other improvement required.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Like every PCB student in class 12th, I also wanted to opt for MBBS, but I couldn't clear the AIPMT exam (now known as NEET-UG) on my first try. My scores weren't great so I thought to look for other options and BSc Food Technology was something that I was fascinated with. There were only 17 students in my class and there were 4 faculties in our department. Some of the subjects were also taught by the faculties of other life science departments. Most of our faculties were usually master's and Ph.D. holders. And they were too good with their teachings. We usually had 3 exams each semester and the exams were pretty easy to pass.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee for my course was INR 25,000 per semester. There are scholarships provided to the top students in every class. Job fairs are conducted every year for the placement of the final year students.

Campus Life :

Every year a tech fest is organized by the university students. There is a library where we can get books for all courses. The classroom has basic amenities like a table, chair, and whiteboard. We have a sports complex and huge grounds for outdoor sports. Sports are highly valued at ITM University. There are not many groups run by the students. Overall the campus is great.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facilities are provided by the institute. We have separate hostels for girls and boys. The students can choose whether to go for an AC or a non-AC room. The food is good and the mess is also handled by the university students. Registration for the hostel can be done during the admission itself. The hostels are affordable at around INR 6,000 per month, which also includes the bus charges.

Placement Experience:

Placements in botany are generally very less and students are majorly sent for internships or lab work to work on some projects if the department finds them suitable. Placements from campus are provided well in the department of Vocational courses and management.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did the course simply because I got into cs I did not have an interest in cs. The student-faculty ratio may be around 1:30. All are well-qualified teachers and professors. Yearly exams are on time and it is quite hard to pass them as there is strict surveillance in the exams.

Placement Experience:

After the completion of semester 4th students become eligible for campus placement. there are many companies that come to our college to give placement to the students like Wipro, TCS, and many more. the highest package is 25 lakhs and the average package of our college is 5 lakh. There is no need for 90 or 95 percent to get a placement you only need talent and work and dedication to learn. I plan to do a job in big company after getting a degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I opted for this course because I find something new. And this course is very interesting and exciting. The faculty-student ratio is 50-50. the faculty members are very good and supportable. The qualification of the faculty is the FACT exam and NET exam qualified. Their teaching method is very interesting. Their bond is very good with students. The end semester exam of this course is not too difficult if you're a good student and good at studies. You easily pass the exam.

Placement Experience:

From the 5th semester for the 3-year program and the 7th semester for the 4-year program, the students are allowed to participate in the campus placement. The highest placement at my time was 10LPA. A good amount of companies come for the placement and a high percentage of students get placed every year.
