Eligibility for MDI is subject to at least 50% in 10th and 12th For PGDM and PGDM-HRM, work experience isn't mandatory, but for PGDM-IB, a minimum work-ex of 1 year is required Applications open around September/ October with a fee of INR 3000 for the programs offered at the Gurgaon campus MDI Gurgaon doesn't have reservation policies, being a private college, but waivers are available for students from weaker economic sections Cut-offs for MDI generally go around 90 %ile in CAT, meaning candidates scoring 90 %ile and above may expect interview calls

Course Curriculum Overview :

PGDM HRM is a specialized course and MDI Gurgaon is one of the premier, few colleges providing such a program Faculty is extremely proficient and the faculty: student ratio is about 1:8, considering 70+ faculty and a batch size of 500+ (PGDM/PGDM-HRM/PGDM-IB) Faculty are distinguished alumni of reputed colleges and firms, with an enriched industry experience Most lectures are conducted in the format of case-based discussions, ensuring group cohesion and integral participation Term exams are in alignment with the course commencement date, conducted timely and passing is easy to moderate considering the subject material covered in lectures

Fee structures at MDI Gurgaon are similar to those of other premier B-Schools Return on investment is generally positive and highly efficient, considering the placement opportunities PGDM-IB faces an extra cost (around 8-10 lac INR) of foreign expenses, though the trade-off ensures a dual degree course with a MiM (Masters in Management) from ESCP Europe campuses Scholarships are awarded to meritorious students Financial assistance is provided to students from economically weaker sections (EWS), provided they fulfill the criteria to avail of the benefits Internships are paid with lavish stipends, along with live projects throughout the year

Several fests are conducted throughout the year at MDI Gurgaon - Imperium (Flagship event & annual cultural fest held in Feb) Illumina Delphique National Alumni Meet FinConclave HR Conclave Nation of Innovation (Startup pitch event, graced by angel investors and VCs) and many more MDI has 7 academic clubs - HR Direction (HR) Monetrix (Finance) ThinC (Product Management) Marquity (Marketing) Obsession (Operations) Impulse (Economics & Public Policy) Strategist (Strategy & Consulting) Besides, MDI has several clubs and committees such as Sanskriti (Cultural committee), Sports Committee, Hostel & Mess Committee, etc. The library is a rich source of the latest journals and books covering various aspects, managerial & non-managerial (Computer Science, Fiction, Biographies, etc.) Several databases, such as the Bloomberg Terminal, are accessible via the library systems. Classrooms are provided with temperature control vents, projector & screen, speakers, etc.

Hostel Facilities :

Rooms are double-sharing for males and double/ triple/ quad-sharing for females, covering seven hostels. ACs, WiFi, LAN ports, cupboards, table-chair sets, shelves and beds are provided. Few hostels have attached washrooms, while most bear common ones Meals are homely, and menus are rotated every month based on students' feedback Hostels and mess are affordable and mandatory as PG courses at MDI Gurgaon are full-time residential programmes, so renting-out options are seldom heard of. The locality is decent, with market connectivity and proper transportation, especially the proximity to metro stations

Interview Experience :

MDI Gurgaon has been taking only interviews in online mode ever since the pandemic for admissions A personal interview is conducted over Zoom, with faculty (generally two) being the panelists Mentorship is provided by current students to the aspirants, quelling any doubts on the admission process and streamlining communication to maintain clarity Interview questions cover a vast horizon of topics - academic-based (especially for aspirants with no work-ex), Work-ex questions, General affairs, HR questions, situation-based questions, etc. I prepared for the interviews by going through online repositories of past interview experiences, preparing answers to basic, common questions and brushing up on my graduation subjects

Internship in ABG !!

Placement Experience:

We have our summer internship process in September and once you are placed, you'll be required to do your internship in April-May-June of the next year. The avg SIP this year was 2,82,000 for 2 months which is basically 1,40,000 per month. The highest stipend stood at 2,00,000 per month and the lowest at 75,000 per month. All the students get placed. So if you are worried that you are not good enough, no need to worry, you'll also be placed at a very good stipend.
