Student's Review On Symbiosis Institute Of Technology - [SIT], Pune | collegedunia.com

Everything to know about SIT

Remarks :

I entered the college by giving SITEEE which is its own entrance exam, but there are several other ways to get into this, which are mhtcet or through jee mains. The admission process was very easy after clearing the entrance exam. The application form is on the site of the college and you can apply from there

Course Curriculum Overview :

Computer science engineering is a field that will always be in trend from now, so I chose this field and it's been a great choice. The faculties are very well qualified and there are plenty of faculties and mentors to clear your doubts. The term exams occur once in every 6 months and are not touch to clear, although I can say that it's not very easy too.

Internships Opportunities :

You should be clear about what domain you need to go from your second year, once you are in 3rd year, the companies start approaching you for internships, and in 4th year those companies come for placement

Placement Experience :

I can't tell about the placements as I am not in my final year, but yeah what I do know is that you can find 6 out of 10 students going for higher studies once they complete their b-tech from symbiosis

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee can increase every year, in my case, the fees from the next sem will be 19k more than this year, you can get a complete scholarship from the government if you are an international student and you too can get 15k per year extra from the government if you did got great marks in the entrance exam.

Campus Life :

The campus life is great over here, we have around 3-4 fests at min. every year and they are pretty amazing. Availability of books and journals in the library is like you can find every book of your course in the library and there are plenty of more books on other topics. The classrooms are pretty amazing and the sports area is not very good but then also you can see students playing over there all the time. There are many groups and clubs run by the students but you will get to know more about them in your first year of the college

Placement is the most desired output after the completion of engineering. DPCOE has a well-experienced T&P Cell i.e. Training & placement cell, this cell helps you to grab the opportunity to many companies by mass recruitment

I choose this course because I was interested in the same. The teaching method was good for some subjects while it was average for the other subjects. Term exams were conducted very frequently with a unit test every month followed by the final semester examination.

Various companies like TCS, TATA Power, TATA Motors, Calderys, Wipro, Atlas Copco, Nvidia, Siemens, Adani Power, Larsen and Toubro, Endress Hauser, Dassault Systemes, Varroc, etc are the major recruiters. Nearly 5 LPA is an average package for any branch in this college. The highest package is nearly 16 LPA for EnTC, CS and IT branches by NVIDIA, Lowest package is Rs. 19,000 per month by TATA Motors.
