Remarks :
If you look at this college and you would like to get admission to this college then you should face an exam by the West Bengal joint entrance examination which is called wbjee. At first, you should score high and rank better to get into this college especially if you want a Computer science stream then your rank should be 1500 to 3000. Rank is differ every year because it fluctuates how the students are seeing the most interest to get admission. The application form is open when you got selected in the counseling process and then you are eligible to take an advance seat booking process. Application fees and application dates are visible on the college website. I think it needs to be improved on the course curriculum and syllabus structure the. The admission process doesn't need to be upgraded, it is suitable.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curricula are good but not the best. It needs some more improvement in the syllabus structure. The computer Science course duration is 4 years. It has a total of 8 semesters. In this 1st semester, you will read some basic subjects that you read in classes 11 and 12. You will see math, physics, and some basic programming. I choose this course because I always have had an interest in programming and technology. The faculty is good but sometimes in a live class, you will feel the board and hectic. Faculty members are highly qualified and they teach us in a digital class. Exams are not too much difficult. But in recent years it was simply harder due to some rules changes. Student total count in cse would be 120 and faculty 20 to 30.
Internships Opportunities :
If you want to crack an internship then you should give effort on your own. College does help to get any internship. If you practice DSA and make some projects then you can apply on your own. If you complete just only your subject you won't become industry ready and not even got any internship. Top offer roles are Web developer, Software development, etc. You can make some projects like Facebook clones Twitter clones, and Food delivery sites.
Placement Experience :
At MAKAUT college hardly 70 to 80 percent of students got placed during the final year of study. The eligible semester for placement was 6 th semester. If you are in 6 th sem and doing more effort to crack a job then you can get it easily. The highest package will be close to 10 to 15 lakh. Only a few students got their talent by presenting themself. And the lowest package is around 3 to 4 lakh per annum. TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, and Deloitte are top recruiting companies. My plan after getting my degree was to grab the best job. If you want to read more higher studies then you can choose by your choice in this field.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
If you want to know about Makaut's fee structure then it was not too much reasonable. First-year tution fees are close to 24000 to 30000. In this college, you can apply for some scholarships like SVMCM and Aikyashree, etc. If you are eligible for more private Scholarships then you can apply by your choice. If you want financial assistance on this campus then you can't get these benefits from campus. On campus, many companies come in with many offers. If you grab any company and impactful offers then you got placed on campus.
Campus Life :
Campus life is good in the campus. There are a lot of activities happening on campus so you can participate in many of them. A lot of activities mean playing cricket, basket ball, and reading, etc. Social life would be average and not have any clubs on this campus. If you hear about the Google developer students club then you should not get any benefits on campus. Annual fest and games events happen every year. The college has a central library so you can access free books journals etc. The classroom has digital facilities but not looking attractive.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel are located in the campus just few steps away. Hostel quality is good but you can't get the best one. Food quality is average but few times you will be habituated to this. It provides two times meals and one breakfast. One meal provides at the noon and another at night. And breakfast was provided in the early morning. Meal review would be 7 out of 10. The menu was different at noon and night. Registration is very easy when to fill up the admission form if you select you need a hostel then you can choose. If you don't want to take a hostel then you can easily get PG and Mess beside the campus.
