Remarks :

You need to qualify jee mains in order to seat for jee advanced. And once you clear jee advanced if you fall under the top 8000 (it varies with students every year) you will get a seat for sure in IIT Guwahati. The application form and all details can be found on jee website. Reservation is available in the form of fee waivers both on the basis of income and merit and category like sc st obc etc. For example, st sc students have a complete fee waiver, and students whose family income is below 1 lakh get a complete fee waiver too. I think the admission process is well structured by IITs.

Course Curriculum Overview :

This course has real applications and can be felt and imagined. The faculty is good every subject has got its own faculty and also includes a lot of TAs. Faculty might not teach very well to be honest but they are well aware of the subject and already achieved milestones in that subject That's the reason they are teaching in IITs. Exams are easy we just need to follow what profs say. Studying 2 weeks is more than enough to pass a 5 month semester.

Internships Opportunities :

Companies such as google Microsoft amazon and lots more visited for internships. It mainly came for sde roles, quant roles, design, and finance. Stipends range from 30k to 7.5 lakhs per month. Coding tests and an interview is organized for the internship by companies.

Placement Experience :

7th-semester students are eligible for placements. Companies include google, Microsoft,quadeye,alphagrep,rubrik, etc. The highest package is around 2.4 crores USA. And the average is around 20 LPA. 75 percent of the students placed this year in the first round. I am thinking to get placed this year.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure as I already said is around 1.3 lakhs in total including the mess fee hostel fee and a few other fees as well. The top student in the class gets a fee waiver for the next year. Reservation benefits are there for exact detail one can visit the iit g website. Yes about the Job I will be having my placement this year 2023. So as I have seen my seniors lots of companies visit and they just see your communication skills and coding skills and it's easy to get 15 LPA.

Campus Life :

There are annual fests every month, to be honest. Like in January we will have the annual sports event. In February we will have alcheringa , Manthan and lots more. So after a few days of exams, you will get time to chill during fests. Libraries are filled with books and opened 24 hours during exams and till 2 am on other days. Classrooms are too good to be true. All kinds of sports with a coach is available which includes hockey swimming cricket football and many more even though we have wooden badminton courts and glass squash court. All kinds of clubs are available such as eco club, sports, robotics, anchor, dance, music, etc.

The placements are quite good. Eminent companies like NRL, Oil India, and Vedanta visit each year providing an annual package of about 12-16 lakhs. About 60-70 percent of students are placed each year. A student is eligible to sit in placement from the third year.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to be placed after the 6th semester. Most of the major companies visit the college and make a good number of offers. Foreign offers are usually above 1cr and domestic packages are a bit less compared to them. IT companies are first to make offers followed by Automobile and Electronics. The highest Package is about 2.2 Cr offered in the role of Quant Analyst. The majority of high packages are provided for Software Engineer Roles by IT companies like FAANGM in India. The percent of students placed is nearly 96 to 98% of the students that register for the placement process. I will try to get placed as a software engineer in the placement.

Don't worry about placements, they are quite good. Our campus highest package this year is 2.5 cr/annum There are many other stats on our official website, you can refer to that.
