Feel the Education in mist

Remarks :

Should complete higher secondary education (12th) and pass KEAM (Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination) with good rank. Application forms can be filled out online from admissions.dtekerala.gov.in website. Fees I don't remember exactly. I think almost 1000 Rs and 500 for SC/ST candidates. Application dates will be usually from June to July. A few seats will be reserved for OBS and SC/ST candidates. For SC/ST fees also will be less. The admission process is good as it is occurring via online and is based on allotments. Still need improvement because, in some colleges, after all allotments are done, a few seats will be left. Then conducting spot admission.

Course Curriculum Overview :

My course was BTech in Computer Science & Engineering. I know we have many opportunities in this field. So selected CSE. For each branch and classes, enough faculties are available. A few professors will be guests. May change yearly. 1:60 is the faculty ratio I understood. Faculties who are teaching us are highly qualified professors. Even assistant (guest) professors are also good, qualified teachers. The teaching method is also good. A few teachers were teaching by spoon-feeding. Others will give important lectures and students have to research and study.

Placement Experience :

From semester 6 or 7, students can attend campus placements. When I was in last year, we had campus placements of Infosys, Wipro, TCS, 6D, QBurst, UST Global etc... In total 65 students were placed from the entire batch of 2012-16 students. The highest package provided was 4,50000 CTC. Average packages were 2,50000 CTC. 20-25 % of students were placed in that year. The important thing was, campus placement in our college started in my last year of study only. My plan was to get a job only. I got placed in Infosys.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

When I was studying fees was 6000 per semester + hostel fees if we are hostellers. Transportation facilities were available from hostels for 750 Rs. per semester only. Only 150 Rs. hike in between for transportation I felt during the course. No other hikes in course fees when I was studying there. All the government providing MCMA/MOMA, eGrantz etc.. scholarship facilities were there. The college will provide assistance for applying to those if needed. The college will provide job assistance via campus placement. No fees or stipend for that. But they prefer some amount if we placed in campus recruitment. Not a compulsory one. If we are ready to give, we can.

Campus Life :

The annual fest was named Advaya and Tech Fest has the same name Techfest. Usually, those are conducted in January month. Most of the books for our course are available in the library. But, we should take it earlier as the count of books is almost 1/3rd of the student count. Journals are also there. Classroom amenities are good. The projector and board are there in all classrooms. The separate assigned teacher is there for physical education. But we will get support for playing only. Others/expenses we have to take care of by ourselves except for a few sports items (bat ball etc.. once a year). Once I had particip[ated in an intercollegiate Yoga competition. At that time we got all financial and physical (training) support from the college/government. We had one social group for free software/Linux named FOSS CELL GECI conducted by students with the help of faculties.

Hostel Facilities :

Cots and wardrobes are provided in the hostel. The bed we have to bring ourselves. Meals we had weekly twice non-veg. Overall food quality was good. Government hostel facility is only limited number. Almost 30% of BTech students only can accommodate. Others have to stay in private hostels. College-approved private hostels are there. Enough to accommodate all others.

Placement Experience:

The placements in college are quite good, with placement getting better each year. From semester 6 onwards, students get eligible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visit our college are ALSTOM, TCS, WIPRO, MRF, INFOSYS, SIEMENS, IBM, L&T, COGNUZANT, etc with the list getting long. The highest package offered this year was 12 LPA and the average was 4 LPA. In our senior bath, 70 out of 100 students got placed. My plan after getting the degree is to get a job through campus placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I took BTech Mechanical engineering at Kushal because of its high placement ratio offered here and due to good academic facilities last etc. There will be around 10 Faculties available for each class and they are very helpful in our academic performance too. The teaching method is mainly by lectures and using the help of smart classrooms and which enable the students to improve their practical approach towards their syllabus. There are two internals in every semester and end semester exams are conducted timely and the results are published accordingly. While comparing to another university the syllabus of society says a little bit of thought it can be easily passed if you work academically your best.

Placement Experience:

Our college has a placement cell each year around 400 students get placed in different companies. With an average salary of 500000 per annum. From the third year's end onwards students can apply for this and they can attend the placement exams. After completing the course they will call and we can join the college. Some of the big companies like TCS, cognizant, burst, Mindtree, l and t etc visited our college for placement.

Placement Experience:

The placements at my college are very good, with more than 500 placements achieved last year. The main companies visiting for recruitment are TCS and Infosys, and there are reportedly many other companies as well. This is a positive sign, as it indicates that there are ample job opportunities available for graduates of my college. If a college does not offer campus placements, students may still be able to find employment after completing their studies through other means, such as networking, job searching on their own, or completing internships or other experiential learning opportunities. Some students may also choose to continue their education by pursuing advanced degrees. It is important for students to consider their long-term goals and plan accordingly in order to increase their employability after completing their studies

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Computer Science because I was passionate about problem-solving. finding new solutions for the problems. the faculty-student ratio is almost 1:15. as it is a government college, all the faculties are highly qualified, and government appointments are. term exams for Btech in Mahatma Gandhi university are conducted on time, there were no delays between the exam and the next semester .all exams were completed before the start of the next semester.
